Friday, August 19
- Learn a lifesaving technique of starting a “matchless” fire, sing songs, play games, listen to stories and eat s’mores around a campfire, and go on a hayride at McDowell Nature Center and Preserve
- The 18th Annual Frank Liske Park Powwow kicks off at 7PM in Concord
Saturday, August 20
- Head to the McDowell Nature Center and Preserve for a ton of fun: Family Kayak Tours between 9AM and 11AM; crafts for the young ones at Messy by Nature between 1PM and 4PM; and Live Animal Talks at 2PM and 4PM!
- Stumptown Park in Matthews hosts a Free Movie in the Park, Tangled, at dusk.
- Enjoy traditional Native American singing, dancing, music, and crafts at the 18th Annual Frank Liske Park Powwow in Concord
Sunday, August 21
- Go on a Family Kayak Tour at the McDowell Nature Center and Preserve between 1PM and 3PM. Then, stay for a Live Animal Talk at 4PM!
