Hiking Trail: Papago Park, to the north of the stadium, encompasses the Papago Buttes, unique sandstone formations. There are several trails and scenic vistas of the city and the rock formations.
City Park: Papago Park (Tempe) is a city park tucked on the southeast side of the larger Papago Park. This park boasts a dog park, a fishing lake, a large playground, picnic shelters, and trail access. In the words of one reviewer, "(t)his park has it all..."
Disc Golf Course: Mouer Park, between the stadium and downtown Tempe on Mill Road (just north of the 202), has a disc golf course and picnic shelters.
Skate Park: Eldorado Park in Scottsdale, north of McDowell Road on Miller Road, has a skate park, ponds, sports fields, and a playground.
Place to learn about Native American culture: Pueblo Grande Museum, on Washington Street east of 44th Street, preserves an ancient Hohokam settlement, along with an "outstanding museum."
Mexican Food: America's Taco Shop, in Tempe on University Drive just west of Rural Road, has some of the best carne asada in the Phoenix area!
