The Best Places to Propose in Orlando and Central Florida

Award winning wedding Orlando photographer Regina Hyman has been photographing engagements, weddings and all types of special events in the central Florida area for nearly 10 years. In this post, she shares a small portion of her vast local expertise with six recommendations that are perfect for proposals, dates, or engagement photos!

Regina's Recommendations:
Rollins College Campus on Lake Virginia
This location is by far my favorite location in Central Florida to photograph engagement sessions.  This location offers the combination of beautiful architecture with lakeside landscaping surrounded by hundreds of hanging moss trees. There is an old world romantic feel when you step foot into this location that creates an atmosphere perfect for capturing these engaging moments.

Winter Park's Park Avenue
Park Ave. in Winter Park offers the unique feel of New England style streets surrounded by lush rose gardens and railroad tracks.  As you walk the streets you often here the soft sounds of live music setting the atmosphere for a romantic scene.  If you want to set out of the palm tree Florida atmosphere for a while then this is the location for you.

Located conveniently on the Walt Disney World property this resort brings together the feel of flower filled gardens, quiet beaches, and the opportunity to see the most amazing fireworks in the world.  The perfect proposal opportunity as the sky is filled with magical color.

For couples who are looking for a great mix of fun and color, yet also get a Victorian romantic feel.  The Boardwalk Resort area offers all of the above.  I tend to recommend the Boardwalk for couples that are looking for a light hearted, fun and photojournalistc shoot.

This quiet location takes you away from the hustle and bustle and nestles you right in the middle of the country.  Lakes and rivers fill the area along with wooden bridges and gorgeous fountains.  This a another great option to take you out of the ordinary.

Among one of the most beautiful and golf preserves in Florida.  This location has acres upon acres of greenery and flowers as well as many wooded areas that sit on the most beautiful lakes.  Perfect for sunsets and getting away from the world for a time to capture the pure beauty of this location and provide the atmosphere for quiet romance.
