Enjoy the snow without the long drive to the mountains! Bring your sled to one of these parks for some old-fashioned fun:

  1. Ruby Hill Park off Florida and Platte River Drive, south of downtown Denver.
  2. Barnum Park, west of downtown Denver on 6th Avenue, offers a dog park as well as a sledding hill!
  3. Harvey Park in west Denver, at Evans and Tennyson.
  4. Stapleton Central Park, in northeast Denver, has a sledding hill and what has been described as "one of the best playgrounds in the area"!
  5. Wallace Park, which one of our reviewers called "Super clean!" is in the Tech Center at DTC Boulevard and Belleview.
  6. The Harold D. Lutz Sports Complex in Arvada, off Kipling and 58th Avenue, is an enormous park with nearly every kind of amenity and sports field.
  7. Harriman Lake Park in Littleton, at the southwest corner of Quincy and Kipling.
  8. Broomfield Community Park is north of 120th Avenue on Main Street.
  9. Boulder's Scott Carpenter Park boasts not only sledding but also a rocket-themed playground! At Arapahoe and 30th Street.
  10. Harlow Platts Community Park in the south of Boulder on Gillaspie Drive.
  11. Tantra Park, on 46th and Hanover in the south of Boulder.
  12. Meadow Glen Park, at Pennsylvannia Avenue and 55th Avenue in Boulder.
  13. Foothills Community Park in northern Boulder on Cherry Avenue.
